How to Use the Financial Calculator
A large portion of the UBC Real Estate Trading Services Licensing course is learning and understanding how to do “real estate math”.
In this video we go over the most frequently used buttons on the financial calculator.
In our 3-week math only course we give you the tips and tricks in using the calculator to help you pass the math portion of the real estate exam.
Here are the five buttons you must get familiar:
N = the number of payments you make
I/YR = interest per year
PV = present value
PMT = payment
FV = future value.
Using these five keys we can find out things like: how much mortgage payments will be, how much interest banks are charging, etc.
